The REPPTIS and PPTIS sections

A partial-path simulation reads these settings from the section named after its task: task = "repptis" from [repptis] and task = "pptis" from [pptis]. Both sections carry the same keyword. The other section takes no effect on the run, and the run does not refuse it: a pptis run with [repptis] memory = 2 samples with memory = 1. Set memory in the section named after the task, and leave both sections out of a retis, tis or explore input. The moves of each ensemble are set in the TIS section.

[simulation]
task = "repptis"

[retis]
swapfreq = 0.5

[repptis]
memory = 1

A repptis run needs [retis] swapfreq: without it the run stops before its first move, with the message Missing required setting "retis" for simulation "REPPTIS simulation".

The shooting_moves keyword states which moves a partial-path task accepts.

Keywords for the REPPTIS and PPTIS sections

The following keyword can be set for either section:

Table 34 Keywords for the REPPTIS and PPTIS sections.

Keyword

Description

memory

Set how far the local window of each positive ensemble reaches.

Keyword memory

memory = integer

Sets the local interface window each positive ensemble samples in. With memory = m, ensemble \(i\) samples the window \([\lambda_{i-m}, \lambda_i, \lambda_{i+m}]\), and the paths it holds are the partial paths that window bounds. The analysis rebuilds the kinetics from the crossing probabilities of these local windows.

Default

The default value is 1.
